PHOTO HUNTERS - self (myself or part of me)

This is my eye, the window to my soul; They are the most beautiful part of me, LOL (at least to myself.:D ); How I wish I do not have to rely on the thick glass lenses and contact lenses in order to see the world :( {Miserable short-sighted power of -11.00 and -9.00}.

BOILED FRUIT CAKE

Wanna have a bite ??

This is the easiest recipe I had come across so far in baking fruit cake; the process is simple, only boiling and mixing, no beating neccessary, how easy isn't it :D. Myself & hubby love it very much. Thanks to cousin, Prescilla for sharing and showing me how to go about making it. It is ideal for ocassions like wedding and Chrsitmas. Here are the ingredients and making process.

DAYTIPPER

While browsing through some comments on money making sites, I discovered a site called Daytipper, out of curiosity I went to have a look at the its website and interestingly it pays its member USD1.00 for every tip submitted and approved by them.

So If you have a tip that is insightful, helpful, and original, why not submit it to Daytipper and get paid. You write the content, let Daytipper helps you to share it with the world. But I must say, they are looking for high standard and original tips to be published in their site. I submitted one yesterday and was rejected right through :( I thought I have got a good tip that I would like to share, apparently the content is not good enough for them. Well, this is only my first attempt. Hubby had just given me one of his tip, will try to submit, see what happen :)
Besides sharing your valuable tips, you will find a lot of good tips from the Daytipper's members as well (those approved by them). Let's check them out !!

WORDLESS WEDNESDAY

I love to eat beansprouts, but Clet hate them being added into his dishes, our girls too...I have to leave them out in my cooking altogether. *sigh* :(

DADDY'S CORNER TAG

I was tag by Vhiel of Can of Thoughts last week. I thought it would a good time to do this tag before Father's day to give all fathers a cheer.

Here's a photo of hubby with our two little princesses...Hubby puts great importance to our girls; he always trying to provide the best that he could and find time to play and educate them. Our girls are so close to him that he is always being squeezed in between during bed time (causing him having back and neck ache most of the time..:)).

2) Blog Brag about your husband - yes, the father of your child/ren. As I’ve said singles may also join by bragging about their own fathers, or even grandfathers. It doesn’t matter! Of course, Daddy bloggers themselves may also join, but you have to blog about your fathers and not about yourselves, deal? Okay. Good.
3) Add your blog in the master list below linking to the post that you just made. Or if you wish, do it as how I’ve done it in my other blog by adding a new page.
4) Leave your comment here and don't forget to leave your link so you can be added on the masterlist. Yup. Here. Thanks!
5) Let’s not forget Peppermint Creative for the corner border I used for the badge.

WHO WANTS TO BE A MILLIONNAIRE ??

Who doesn't want to be a millionnaire? If you have not heard about the huge sum of Jackpot money awaiting for winner(s) in Sportstoto's Mega TOTO 6/52 then you should start awakening and do yourself a favour by investing a ticket or two or more trying your luck tomorrow, 28/3/2008. I have been trying my luck for the past three draws, the bad news is I haven't won (yet) and the best news is no one won so far and the 1st prize jackpot has accumulated to an estimated amount of RM16,288,000.00 for tomorrow's draw. Waaaaaa....I am so excited and definitely going to try my luck tomorrow. I am already visionalising myself receiving the jackpot prizes already (Law of Attractions bah!) :D Wish me luck, Okay!!

TUESDAY TOOT - SHE'S GOT IT !!

My girls like to climb and sit on my lab when I am doing my work at the computer, they know there are so much to see from the screen. Crystal in particular would request to go on her colouring pages website to choose and print some pages to colour, and it takes ages for her to choose the one she likes (in actual fact she just having fun viewing all the pages). Since she is on the computer I wouldn't have the chance to work, it also takes up my time waiting for her to decide so the best way is to teach her how to print and let her take her own sweet time. Luckily she is a pretty fast learner, after guiding her for a few times, she is able to print the colouring page all by herself now. A big TOOT for Crystal !!

HOME COOKING - FRIED MEEHOON WITH SAUSAGES & MIXED VEGETABLE

Prices of goods have gone up quite a bit these days, as a result eating out cost us dearly. I noticed that the eateries either increase their pricing or reduce the food portions, so that they have got more to sell and we have less to eat that in turn we have to buy or spend more to fill up our hungry stomach, how sad??
Cooking at home would be one way of saving money and get more for everyone at home to share. Most of the time I will ask my girls what they would like to eat for their meals then I will start to explore what I have in my kitchen to come out with something of that sort as simple and as fast as possible. Here is my Home Cooked Fried Meehoon with Sausages and Mixed Vegetable; methods of cooking and ingredient can be found here. :Q

CRYSTAL'S SCHOOL RESULT

Parents of Crystal's kindergarten will be collecting their children's report cards on Saturday, that tomorrow, 24th May 2008. Since we were early in picking Crystal up today, I managed to collect from her form teacher this morning saving us a trip to the school again tomorrow. According to her teacher, her results are good but her interest in Bahasa Malaysia is lacking. She refused to pay attention in her BM classes; she was either walking around or purposely finding something else to do during the classes, like taking her sweet time to the washroom or excuse herself to drink water; teacher has attempted to get her to sit in the front row so that she can concentrate. After hearing the teacher's comment, I interviewed Crystal a bit, she admitted what she did in the BM classes because she does not like BM, erhrrr.. (sounded serious too..we as parents have to take this seriously too before it's too late!!!). In order to change her mentalilty on her dislike, we have to explain why she mustn't have this kind of thought. She sounded convinced with our explanations hopefully she will improve in the coming semester.

TUESDAY TOOT - ADDITIONAL BLOG

This week toot goes to hubby, Clet, for his inspirations and determinations in starting an additional blog; this made a total of 3 blogs under our care. I started this blog in December 2007, and clet started his property blog, PropertyNet in March 2008 featuring all porperties for auctions, for sale and to let in his portfolios. He suggested to me that we should start an additional one mainly to showcase the collections of what we have collected over the years for all to enjoy; I was reluctant in the beginning fearing that we would not be able to update it as often as we wanted to. He went ahead to start The Collections Gallery regardless of my negative responses last month, spending time to take photos and uploading them till wee hours. He left the illustrations part for me to make the postings more meaningful and complete which I am still trying to find time to update them. Surprisingly we receive relatively good visitors to a month old blog which indeed have given us a great encouragement to share more collections and the urge to update it more frequently. Please visit our new blog The collections Gallery, your comments are valuable to us..:D

Spotted Pearl opening her favourite sugus candy she took from the fridge herself. Obviously she is bigger girl now unlike previous months she would ask for help to open a candy and wanted it to be made into smaller pieces easier for her to chew.

COLOURING COMPETITION

Crystal went for a colouring competition in Wawasan Plaza on 10th May 2008, the theme was Happy Mother's Day. She only managed to grab hold of a consolation prize this time as the standard of colouring by other contestants are very high especially those attending private colouring classes. They deserved to win as they have put their time and effort into learning the skills of colouring and put them into practice. I had actually visited a number of private art schools some months ago planning to enrol Crystal to one of the school in order for her to sharpen her skills, due to the money constraint and time factor we have put this idea on hold for the time being. Will definitely set a budget for her tuition fees since she has shown so much interest in colouring that I would love to see her excel in this area.

TUESDAY TOOT - YOU DID IT !!

After much disappointments and frustrations for not being able to bake a reasonably "edible" sponge cake, SIL, Catherine, finally did a very nice cake on Mother's Day. All of us disbelieved that it was actually done by her (especially me) when she took the cake out from the fridge. It was decorated very nicely (more or less like those made by the cake house), a bit taller than normal as it was a three layers sponge cake filled with blueberry jam in between. The texture is just perfect, we truly enjoyed it. Yes, a TOOT goes to Catherine this week for her lovely and delicious cake, hope she will do more baking from now on.

FOR LONG TERM

It has been too costly to replace batteries for our Canon Digital Camera every now and then. This Canon Digital Camera of ours can only work on Energiser batteries which cost a lot more expensive than other brands of batteries. So after a long thought we decided to get ourselves a Sony Power Charger for about RM75.00 from TecAsia. It should help us save batteries money in the long run.

THIS IS MY 100TH POST

Without realising I am posting my 100th post today. I decided to write something relating to mother's day, a special day honouring mothers celebrated on various days around the world. This special day falls on 11th May 2008 in Malaysia. I received two mother's card this year, one from my precious little girl, Crystal, and other one from Dumex. I would like to take this opportunity to wish all mums a very happy mother's day!!

Coloured by Crystal in School. She said she specially picked a pink carnation for me..:)

This one is from Dumex. Crystal and Pearl are very faithful consumers of Dumex since they were born.

LOK KAWI WILD LIFE PARK

The Lok Kawi Wild Life Park (Lok Kawi Zoo) has been officially opened for public several months ago. We have heard so much about it and finally we paid a visit to the zoo last Saturday, 3rd May 2008, just happened that our friend Kenneth is bringing his two kids there and invited us along, since we have been longing to bring our girls there too so we decided to make a trip there which is located at old Penampang-Papar road that is about 10km from our home. We arrived there at about 10am and spent about 2 hours in the park just about right to avoid the mid day sun set in. Kenneth's kids, Jordon and Amethyst love the animals so much that this was the fourth time they've been to this zoo. Crystal and Pearl were so excited to see the real animals for the first time. Let's come see the birds and animals that we found in the zoo..

Crystal, Pearl and their new friends, Jordan and Amethyst enjoyed a round of ice cream before heading home..
