Tuesday Toot - Great Daddy

This week I am going to give my dear hubby, Clet, a big TOOT for being so supportive in every ways. Eversince I started work, he has been taking care of our two little princesses after school. He makes sure all appointments are set in the morning so that he could get his business done and fetched them from school on time, which is tough on him. At home, a routine has been set by him within a week for our girls, it would be a good disciplinary practice for the them in a long run. Let me share with you the Daddy's disciplinary practices:

• shower time right after coming back from school;
• lunch (He has to prepare lunch for them if I did not prepare any the morning);
• home work for Crystal (Pearl has no homework from the baby class);
• computer game time for Crystal only if she finishes her home work. Pearl would normally join in the fun or TV time;
• Nap time (compulsory);
• off to fetch the mummy (me) from work between 5.00pm to 5.15pm.

Tuesday Toot - First Day of Work

After one and a half years of being jobless or rather being a stay at home mum, I finally made myself useful in the job market again. Today is my first day of work, still feeling a bit unused to, not because of the job but miss my two little girls very much. I am glad that I am still able to carry out the tasks assigned to me confidently after a considerably long break. For that I would like to give myself a little TOOT!! Wish me luck in my new job!!

Tuesday Toot - Ready to school

Baby Pearl has been going to playschool for the third day today. She was a bit reluctant to be left alone in the beginning but we left her with teacher any how so that she could get use to the teacher as well as the environment and the activities in the school. She did indicate to me that she wanted me to stay with her by saying "I want to follow you". She basically followed the full session in school today without much fuss. I must give her a little Toot that she deserves for her strong adaptability to this new environment considering her young age of only 2 years 9 months old. After so much excitements in school she usually takes a long afternoon nap which is good for her. Toot again for my little baby Pearl.

TUESDAY TOOT - CHANGING OF DOMAIN

I have finally decided to change my domain to www.agnesdiary.com with the advice and help from my blogger friend, Lesley of Beachlover, who lives in the US. We are actually half a globe away from each other. In order to guide me through the process of transferring to my new domain, we chatted on google talk which is something new to me and that I got to know it from her too. I would like to thank Lesley for being so helpful and patience to me. A big TOOT for Lesley. Thanks a lot.

TUESDAY TOOT - LITTLE HELPING HANDS

As it is still school term holiday for Crystal, I feel pretty much like having holiday too. Everything has been slow and we got the chance to stay at home most of the time for the week. The girls are allowed to sleep through till late morning so I got a bit of time to get ready breakfast for them. Crystal has been good staying at home and Pearl is enjoying having her elder sister's company at home. Since they are playing with each other most of the time, I also got the chance to finish my beading work on two pieces of pearl bracelets which I had put up for sale on ebay. I also managed to do my laundry before the weekend and Crystal voluntarily giving her little helping hands to fold the clean laundry when she saw me doing it. A little TOOT for her!! :)

TUESDAY TOOT - SHE'S GOT IT !!

My girls like to climb and sit on my lab when I am doing my work at the computer, they know there are so much to see from the screen. Crystal in particular would request to go on her colouring pages website to choose and print some pages to colour, and it takes ages for her to choose the one she likes (in actual fact she just having fun viewing all the pages). Since she is on the computer I wouldn't have the chance to work, it also takes up my time waiting for her to decide so the best way is to teach her how to print and let her take her own sweet time. Luckily she is a pretty fast learner, after guiding her for a few times, she is able to print the colouring page all by herself now. A big TOOT for Crystal !!

TUESDAY TOOT - ADDITIONAL BLOG

This week toot goes to hubby, Clet, for his inspirations and determinations in starting an additional blog; this made a total of 3 blogs under our care. I started this blog in December 2007, and clet started his property blog, PropertyNet in March 2008 featuring all porperties for auctions, for sale and to let in his portfolios. He suggested to me that we should start an additional one mainly to showcase the collections of what we have collected over the years for all to enjoy; I was reluctant in the beginning fearing that we would not be able to update it as often as we wanted to. He went ahead to start The Collections Gallery regardless of my negative responses last month, spending time to take photos and uploading them till wee hours. He left the illustrations part for me to make the postings more meaningful and complete which I am still trying to find time to update them. Surprisingly we receive relatively good visitors to a month old blog which indeed have given us a great encouragement to share more collections and the urge to update it more frequently. TUESDAY TOOT - YOU DID IT !!

After much disappointments and frustrations for not being able to bake a reasonably "edible" sponge cake, SIL, Catherine, finally did a very nice cake on Mother's Day. All of us disbelieved that it was actually done by her (especially me) when she took the cake out from the fridge. It was decorated very nicely (more or less like those made by the cake house), a bit taller than normal as it was a three layers sponge cake filled with blueberry jam in between. The texture is just perfect, we truly enjoyed it. Yes, a TOOT goes to Catherine this week for her lovely and delicious cake, hope she will do more baking from now on.

TUESDAY TOOT - DIY EARRINGS

I made myself a pair of tangling fresh water pearls earring last night and I wore them to work this morning; feeling pretty refresh having them on. Actually, I am getting a bit bore of using the same earrings all this while..eventhough they are my favourites. Don't we just love to have something new all the time?? Opss..I mean once in a while :)

TUESDAY TOOT # 4 - SUBMISSION OF TAX RETURN

Yeah! I had finally submitted my tax assessment form through e-filing at 1.19am today. Seems that I have been submitting my forms last minute not that I have much to declare probably just want to get the thrill of meeting deadline at the last moments.. :D. Glad it's all done with and I haven't earned enough to be taxed for another year, good or bad???? Anyway, something to toot about for this week of the year.

TUESAY TOOT # 3 - PASSING ON TOYS

It has been weeks that I was thinking of choosing some of the unwanted toys to be given to the church for distribution to the needy or passing them on to my brothers who have younger toddlersor going to have baby. We have been keeping those toys thinking that the girls might want to play them again some times. Now we realised that our girls had grown up and they are no longer interested in toys like baby rattles, incomplete pieces of activity toys that sort of stuff. Toot! Toot! I finally selected some of them. It does ease off some storage spaces.
