Gathering of Old time Friends

One can hardly see me joining any gathering or reunion of school mates, there were many of such occasions that I did not make any effort to join, but it was a different case when my childhood friend, Susan, came back from the U.S. last month.  I got to meet her before she goes off again.  We have not been seeing each other for more than 5 years since the last time she came back to KK.  We are close friend since primary school, her parents have been very consistently bringing me to church every Sunday when I was still a teenage girl. They were like God sent guardians to me.

Due to her busy schedule during the last 3 weeks in KK before she went off to Ipoh (much nearer to home this time), we managed to get together for yam cha on a Sunday afternoon, 8th July 2012, together with our old time friends, Vivien & Eliza.  I tagged along my 2 little princesses to meet the aunties. They got bored  and misbehaved a little while the mummy & aunties were busy chit chatting, catching up with each other on the past & present :DDD.

It was a great get together, looking forward to our next gathering again during this coming Chinese New Year.    

Baby Micole's Full Moon Party

My ex-colleague, Doris, invited us to join them to celebrate their new born baby girl, Micole's full moon party on 20th November.

We have not been seeing each other ever since I resigned from the Stockbroking firm 4 years ago. I am really glad that she included me and my family in her invitees' list. She is as pretty as ever, only put on a little inches after giving birth.

I also managed to catch up with my other ex colleagues, Vivien, June and Lesley in the party. Only in a party like this we are able to meet up with old time mates. As we are all having kids with the same age groups, our topics for the night were mostly about the affairs & happening around our kids, especially 3 of our kids are going to Primary one next year but at a different schools in town.

Little gifts from a thoughtful colleague

It would be nice to be able to go for overseas travelling once in a year just like my colleague does. As far as I can remember, for three consecutive years I have been working with her, she has been to China, Singapore and recently to Hong Kong.

While she is on her sweet holidays, I am the one who is relieving her with her work in the office, basically to check on her emails everyday and help to follow up with the overseas suppliers. It is still consider an additional responsibilities on top my existing workloads. Luckily she always on holiday for only a week or so, and not more than that.

I must say she is a very thoughtful lady because she remembers me (or rather her work) even on holidays…:D, she always brought back some gifts for me as appreciation for helping her. She gave me a necklace and 2 little cute dolls for my daughters from her recent trip to Hong Kong. It’s nice to receive some tokens every now to brighten up my days. I am still looking forward to having our own overseas holidays, hopefully soon. *.*

Tuesday Toot on Chinese New Year Cake

It's been quite a while since the last post that I wrote on Tuesday Toot.

Though Chinese New Year is over but I just wanna post a Toot for myself for a Chinese New Year cake that I made on the 13th day of Chinese New Year.


I made this cake especially for a pot luck gathering with my ex-colleagues (Innosabah). I did not make any fortune by trying my luck in the stock market then (in fact I lose money) but I have gained friendships from the company that I spent almost 10 of my youthful years. Most of us no longer working there, we have parted to our own avenues separately, only got to contact each other through face book and msn, I am glad Vivien made an afford to invite us to her house for this pot luck gathering where we got to catch up with each other, eat and drink no stop for the whole afternoon, of course with some gossips..:D;

One of our friend, Jenny, couldn't join us instead she made a long distance call (using skype) from England just to "join in" the fun...*v*

Hope I could house the gathering at my house next time..:D

My Facebook

It has been a while since I last log-in to my Facebook account. Today I finally got the chance to sit down to "update" it after receiving many friend requests emails. After several rounds of surfing the facebook, I am still finding myself a bit lost on how to make use of its features. Apart from receiving gifts and other goodies from friends, I am particularly excited about accepting friends that I know into my friends list, it is a good way to keep in touch with friends both near and far especially friends that have not started joining the blogsphere.

New Blogger

I am very delighted to have my childhood best friend, Susan, to join in the blogsphere recently, a big welcome my dear friend, she named her blog as Find Us In New York. Yes they are now residing in the US which I hope we get to visit her and her hubby, Richard, in the near future.

I only got to know this when I opened my email today, she has sent me an email on 12 July 2008 searching high & low for me as she couldn't get through my blog eversince I changed my blog address. I did not know she have been my blog frequent viewer and after reading mine she was inspired to start one of her own too, I am so touched with that I can't help but to blog about this :)

By visiting her blog, I feel as if we are very much closer to each other again though she is at the other side of the earth.
