Lunch...but in different locations

Like most siblings, we communicate and share daily happenings through family group whatsapp.  These was one of those many things we shared through whatsapp yesterday, our "Lunch", what we had for lunch at different locations at almost the same time.

Younger brother at Tawau, the West Coast of Sabah

Century egg dumpling

while I was having my humble lunch at the office desk, roti kosong with a cup of Nescafe Zero

My youngest brother at Guangxi, China yesterday, posted a photo of his lunch there.

He also shared some photos of Guangxi where we haven't been yet.

My sister is in the USA, the time there is midnight, supper time for her not lunch..haaaa...though it's over midnight, she responded with emoticons.  Whatsapp is the way we stay connected.

Long distance goodies

My big sister in the U.S. sent to us some goodies for the kids and a NYX lipstick for me.  We got to share bits of everything among siblings because she shared a parcel with her in law whom sending a parcel back from the U.S.
The goodies
my girls like this Minion shape cheese biscuits
This cup of Spongebob macaroni is very cute but the taste is very much different..not to our liking, probably it is cooked through microwave.

as for the Pop Tart I sandwiched it with bread as it is too sweet to eat it on its own.

Additional Member in the family - My Niece

We had an additional member to our family today.  Our little niece is born at 3.58pm this afternoon to my youngest brother, Albert and SIL, Shirly.  Little baby niece weighed at 2.98kg, 50.5cm long was crying out loud in the first hour after birth, I guess she was hungry, because SIL hasn't had any breakfast nor lunch before going into labour.  She got a little quieter after being fed some milk.  Here she is,

A thank you note

Though we haven't organised any house warming party yet after moving in to our new home for more than a month now, we have already received a house warming gift from my SIL, Catherine whom did not manage to come to our family gathering organised by my brother at my house 2 weeks ago. My niece, Anneliese was down to chicken pox that time.

It is a very meaningful piece of gift for our home. Thank you so much!

I would also like to thank our family members who have helped us through in attaining a home of our own a reality, my special thanks go to my mum, my brother in law, Nicky and my sister in law, Rosalind.

Your assistance shall not be forgotten.

No Internet Connection

It takes a week for our telephone line and internet connection to be transferred from our old home to our new home. We are still waiting for the Telekom man to come transferring our telephone line. Luckily I am able to access the internet in the office. I will have to maximise the time during my lunch break checking on my mails, update my blogs other online activities as much as I can.

Nowadays, Internet connection is an integral part of our lives, a lot of business activities can not be done without it, especially those with online businesses.

Our new home is still in a big mess, with boxes and boxes of stuff every way, Clet and his worker are moving stuff from our old home at the intervals of fixing the lights, doors and fencing this week. We are lost when looking for our stuff, Crystal has been wanting to start unpacking to look for her books, she loves reading, we just have to ask her to wait till her book shelve is ready. We only have that little time at night to do our unpacking and arranging to put our new home into a presentable and comfortable state. We have too much stuff organise I must say.

Helping out with house work

My girls are willing to help out with the laundry whenever I ask them to, though with lots of "intervals" before finishing their tasks, they always fold the laundry and put them away nicely in the respectively drawers.

I have to come around to check on the progress every now and then, I always find them reading books, checking on their computer game or playing with their toys, that's what I call the "intervals", I will have to get them back to finish up with their job again.

With additional part time assignment on hand, I really need their helps on some of the house chaos, as they are still small there are nothing much I can assign to them apart from training them to tidy up the house, keeping their closet neat, sweeping the floor occasionally and some other light tasks. We do anticipate more house chaos after we move into our double storey home next month. Their little helping hands would definitely help me a lot.

Dad's 74th Birthday

It's a sleepy Monday for me, can't wait to head home for a nice nap but again that's quite impossible when I am working for a boss.

Our weekends have been busy and have not been able to have some rest.

We celebrated my father's 74th birthday on Saturday. I felt pretty exhausted that I didn't feel like baking a cake so I called up my colleague to order a cake thought I could get a good discount from them as a staff of the holding company, but the price quoted to me is too expensive even after discount. Finally I decided to bake a simple butter cake for my father, luckily I have all the ingredients that I need except 2 bars of butter which is easily obtainable with just a phone call away (Clet was just at the nearby shop). I managed to get the cake baked just slightly over midnight on Friday.
Ensond & Anneliese rushing to blow the candles

After more than a year break from taking any competitions outside the school since she started primary education, Crystal went for a fun and easy "Spot The Difference" contest on Sunday, that's yesterday. I do not mind letting her join in the competition as there is no preparation needed prior to the contest. She was ever so relax that she did not even bring any stationery (not even a pencil). The contest was held at Central Shopping Plaza. At the site, the parents were the ones busier than the kids, carrying their kids' tables, chairs, bags and kept reminding their kids what to do and what not before the contest. Needless to say much, I am also one of this kind of parent, rushing to find a pencil and eraser for Crystal in the shopping complex.

Contest in progress

The contest suppose to take 1 hour to finish but Crystal only took like 15 minutes to spot all the differences. She came all the way from the 3rd floor to Ground Floor supermarket to look for me where I suppose to spend the 1 hour to do some shopping. Giving me a shock!
The winners

She won herself a trophy from this contest, requested me to drive her home at a lightning speed to show her daddy and Pearl.

Dad is coming home

Just a short note to welcome my dad home today.

Yes, my dad finally received a green light from the doctor yesterday allowing him home this morning. I was delighted to receive this good news from my brother upon arriving home yesterday evening. Everyone show a sign of relieve, popping in and out of the hospital is over for us after a week, seems like a long week.

This morning, brother Alfred, happily getting ready to fetch my dad from the hospital. I am sure there are some waiting to get the discharge paper work done in the hospital, payment and collection of medicine from the pharmacy, my father will only be home around noon time.

Now it's time to get ourselves ready for Christmas!

Borrowing books from Library

School exams is over for Crystal & Pearl. They are allowed to start borrowing books from the library again. We returned the last batch of books very late that I have to pay for RM5++ fine for the books that I borrowed, luckily there is no late penalty charges for children's books.

altogether we borrowed up to 21 books this time, 5 of them are mine on the right (as usual I looked for health and food kind of books).
Among 16 of the children's books that my girls have picked only 1 in Chinese, others are in English. I always remind Crystal to read more Chinese and BM to further enhance these 2 languages. She happily told me that she had borrowed one this time. It was Pearl who picked it, wonder they actually read it or just want to please me....:D

these are the 5 books I got this time, so far I only read a few pages of the good carbs vs Bad carbs, hard to find time to read.
