Our Chef Wedding Reception

The wedding reception was at 6.30pm last Saturday. While waiting for the rest of my colleagues to arrive, I seated at the lobby area just in front of the big Chinese New Year flowers arrangement. I like it very much. I also noticed that there are a lot of Chinese tourists in this hotel, hope they enjoy their stay in Sabah.

This the flower display taken from where I was sitting.

This time I did not take the photos of the food served, only photos with my colleagues.  The groom is a head chef in one of our Company's resorts.  It is his turn to be served for his wedding reception in down town hotel, usually he is the one who head the resort's kitchen for the guests' wedding receptions.
Lovely newly wed couple, wishing them a happy and long lasting marriage.

La Jolla banquet rooms

One of my colleagues, Tiara, is getting married this coming June. She and her husband to be have been planning for their wedding since they got engaged last May.

Since they do not intend to have a very huge wedding reception they can afford to make the occasion extravagant just for their close family members and friends. To get more ideas and information of having a wonderful and memorable wedding banquet, they started to search through the internet and inquired many hotels wedding packages with the hope that they can find one that best suit their needs, however, after numerous inquiries and site visits, they are very disappointed that none can actually fit in what they are looking for, they even thinking of hire a wedding planner to do the job for them which will cost them dearly.

As the date draws nearer, they started to search the internet again, they are very pleased to come across the La Jolla banquet room at Trattoria-Acqua where they can offer a wedding banquet that suit them perfectly. The banquet dinner menu pricing is very reasonable and they love the restaurant buyout idea that allows exclusivity for their special occasion.

I am very honor to have received their wedding invitation card yesterday and very much looking forward to this exclusive banquet of a taste of the Mediterranean in the village of La Jolla.

At cousin's son wedding dinner

8 course meal is the basic for a wedding dinner. The price of each table is very much depends on the type of food that are included in the dishes. Dishes with shark fins, abalone, prawn will definitely more expensive.

At my cousin's son wedding, it is the first time that I have and tasted abalone in fried rice. My cousin, Mr & Mrs Yong Chee Loong's youngest son wedding was on 12 November 2009. Here's the snapshots of us at the wedding dinner and the delicious 8 course meal.

Cousin's wedding

Yesterday was a popular day to wed. My cousin picked the 8th August to wed as well. It was a church wedding followed by a nice and cozy cocktail and lunch party at the church hall, a simple and relaxing party with plenty of food. It was also an occasion for us to mingle around with cousins whom we have not seen quite a while.

BRIDAL BOUQUET

I was busy arranging a bridal hand bouquet and some corsages for a friend's brother wedding yesterday afternoon. I put together a dozen of each red and pink roses as requested, yellow peacocks, decorated with pearls and laces, and I got Cletus to finished it up with a ribbon as soon as he got back, took some photos and off we go to deliver the bouquet. My friends were pleased to see the bouquet this time with a pearl heart in the bouquet, I purposely added it on as a symbol of love for the new couple.
