Clearing off old stock

I was once a home base florist while having a full time job.  Due to many contributing factors, I did not pursue further to develop the business and soon the interest have died out but the stocks that I have remained kept in the store at the family home.  During the recent renovation at the family home, Clet back my old stocks and old memories of one of my failed business attempts.  What should I do with them? 

Since my Kids Fashion business is in its last month of business, I am clearing off the stocks at the shop, it is the good opportunity to sell off the old florist stuff at the same time.  I offered a good discounted price to clear unwanted stuff in the house as well.  One man junk is an another man's treasure.

Tax submission for business owner

This would  be the 1st time that I submit my tax return as a business owner. The date line is on 30 June. 

I have been organizing the bills, banking documents and other accounts  related documents a week ago in order for me to update them into the accounting system.  I am using the UBS accounting  system at home which is similar to the system  I am using in my employer's office, so I am quite familiar  with it and that's  make  it a lot easier for me.

I have one more week to finalise my business  account and do the submission online for the Assessment Year 2012.  Previous years, I only have to report my income as an employee which is very much straight forward.

Token of Appreciation - A new bag

A sensible supplier of mine sent me a lovely bag as a token of appreciation for our first business dealing.  Of course, I am very pleased to receiving it.  It is simple yet practical.  The quality is better than most that I have seen.

I was actually looking for a bag, a smaller and handier bag than the one I have been using.  I did enquire on one of the bag that she is selling but I decided not to buy for reason I forgot what was it. 

The bright pink colour is really outstanding, I wouldn't buy it if I have a choice.  But after using it for a while, I started to like its sweet and bright pink colour instead.  It is light weight which is suitable for a person like me who tends to carry many other stuff in my bag just to make sure they are available when we need them, especially for our 2 girls.   I am glad that this bag is big enough for me to load in one or two sweaters for my girls and a scarf for me.

Seafood Display Cases

My brother is thinking of venturing into seafood business.  He came by a number of seafood suppliers whom are able to supply him with fresh seafood with good wholesale prices.

As he is a busy businessman in his transportation business he is not able to take care of the seafood business personally.  For this business expansion, he has to rely on the staff to run the business for him. As we all know, seafood is perishable especially in the warm climate like ours.  Fish can easily turn bad if they are not properly stored.  So he has to ensure that proper and suitable seafood displays are in place for the business to run smoothly without much headache to him.

Besides having proper storage, the display of the seafood is also very important to attract customers.  It has to be clean and be able to keep seafood fresh at all time, therefore having nice and suitable seafood display cases is not only necessary but is a must-have display counter in any seafood outlets. 

He has been looking around to search for the display cases lately.  There are a number of seafood display cases that he is considering of buying, it is all depends on  what sort of concept he would like to have for his outlet.  We are also putting our minds together to help him with this business expansion.  Like the saying goes, the starting stage of any business venture is always the toughest.

The above two seafood displays would be suitable for most seafood outlets.  We like to buy fresh seafood same goes to our customers.  To have repeat customers, we will have to take extra affords to make sure our products are up to their satisfaction. 

We are looking forward to have fresher seafood mechandises once our brother's seafood outlet is in operation. 

Another MLM Opportunity

Merely a few days ago I reminded Clet that from now on whatever it is we are not going into any Multi Level Marketing (MLM) businesses again for reasons that we know best. With the exceptional that if the products are really good and pricing are reasonable then it would be fine to join as product user only rather that business builder. There was no answer from him and I construed as No answer means Agreed.

And barely 72 hours from my reminder to Clet, I was introduced to yet another MLM company called ZHULIAN by my valued customer at her office today. Her sponsor did a health check on me as soon as I arrived there by using a weighing machine similar to the one used by HerbaLife besides this one has got a little digital reader that I have to hold up straight while the machine is “downloading” information from my body. Glad to know that my biological age (ie. an organism's physical state as it ages) is 5 years younger than my actual age.

I was told that ZHULIAN is a Malaysian owned direct selling company whose products include fashion jewellery, food & beverages, home care, nutritional health, personal care, beauty care, home tech and accessories. Most of the products are manufactured in house. The rewards to the achievers are similarly good if not better; however, what I am looking for now is a truly working from home business that I enjoy doing which eventually allows me to have more time for my family without having to worry about money. I never enjoy doing MLM business (it gave me so much stress mentally, physically and financially) and so for that matter this is not a business for me I must say.
