My Job Interview
As mentioned in my previous post, I went for my second interview this morning. It went on well. Basically it was a get to know meet up session with the Executive Director, a nice lady boss. I will be getting my appointment letter next week and commence my job on 1st July. I am happy in getting a job so fast but on the other hand a bit sad though, kind of a mixed feelings here. Going back to work means I will be spending less time my girls :( They will be in school for the whole day, it wouldn't have much problem for Crystal as she has already used to it, we foresee a bit of struggle for Pearl as she will be going to school for the first time. We have made an arrangement with teacher to place her for a trial in school tommorrow morning.

Wordless Wednesday - Belated Father's Day Celebration

As Clet was away on Father's Day sunday, we only managed to wish him over the phone. Besides a Father's Day card she made in school, Crystal requested me to bake a cake and she wanted to decorate it for the daddy yesterday. How sweet and thoughtful of her!!
Daddy and daughters join hands cutting the cake.
A visit to the clinic
Pearl has been suffering from a bad cough for almost two weeks now. She doesn't cough as often as you may think but whenever she coughs, there is like a big chunk of stubborn mucus stuck in her throat and causes her to vomit especially after drinking milk. That's the only way for her to get the mucus out which is good in a way. We have get a plastic bag ready just in case she vomits. We have been treating her cough with the previous medicine she got from the clinic but it did not help. Just a day before, she got an infection on her right eye as well, so here we are to pay a visit to her doctor. Both of our girls do not mind going there, you know why? See the set up, kids are very attracted to it; the kids can play toys, read books and watch children programme while waiting for their turn. Pearl was very cooperative when doctor check on her yesterday mainly because the doctor has been very kind to the kids. Hope she will get well with the prescriptions or else we will have to pay another visit again after a week.

Tuesday Toot - Job Interview
My Toot for this week is about job interview. I have been off from work for more than a year now and I think it's time to get myself back into a steady income job; so I went for a job interview this morning and it seems very promising that I will be offered the position. They called me for a second interview this coming Thursday. The job does not required me to work on Saturday, that would allow me to spent time with my family for the full weekends. Will sure update you all on the outcome of my second interview in the coming post.

Nutritious Porridge for kids
This is one of my porridge cooking ideas for my girls; that is by mixing two types of rice, add in lean pork and shredded carrots for more nutritions and to enhance its taste as well. It is best using rice cooker with its porridge cooking mode to cook the porridge as I find it easier, faster and no repetitive checks are necessary. A well cooked nutritious porridge is ready within 30 minutes. Want to know more facts about rice click here.
All ready to eat.

To Sandakan by road (3)
On the way to Sandakan, there are a stretch of oil palms plantations. Thousands and thousands of acres of them. The owners of the plantations are making tons of money.

To Sandakan by road (2)
After breakfast, Edmund grabbed the wheel and started their journey. It was a uphill winding and mountain drive. The views of Mount Kinabalu are magnificent. Mount Kinabalu ranked 20th in the list of 125 most prominent peak in the world with the height of 4095 metres or 13,435 feet above sea level. And I conquered it twice. I am glad that I did, I don't think I am able to do that now. :D

:O :O a little problem with the braking system

After a breath taking long and winding mountain drive, they stopped by Telupid for a drink.
Telupid is a very small town where I have not been
Run out of diesel in Telupid but petrol station couldn't operate without electricity. They found this alternative manual petrol kiosk. This is how refilling is done hopefully no water is added. The price of diesel is much more expensive, RM3.00 per litre as compare to RM2.58 per litre in KK. Wow..

He took some really nice pictures along his way to Sandakan, the gate way to Sepilok Orang Utan Sanctuary (25km west of Sandakan) and Sandakan Crocodile Farm on the Labuk Road. while he is still in Sandakan, he emailed me these pictures to share with all of you.
From Kota Kinabalu, they stopped at Tamparuli for breakfast.

It was still early in the morning most of the shops have not started business yet.
Look like they are really hungry checking through the food stall in front of the shop

Is that true??
Most of you must have seen this plant before or even have one or more pots place inside the house as indoor plants. They are feng shui plants according to many. They are easy grown greenery without much care. I had four pots of them in front of my house until a few days ago one of my friends told me that there was an article in one of the local Chinese newspaper saying that these plants are actually producing certain toxin at night which is detrimental to human body. O..O..I have not seen the article myself. Is that true? Anyone knows about it? Please share. But better to believe than sorry, we decided to move all four pots of these plants to the side of the house, since they are said to be harmful to our body and they do not seem to bring any good luck or fortune to us as far as I can remember :( The position has been replaced with another plant with fan like leaves.
Wordless Wednesday - Rejuvinating Health Drink

The weather is extremely hot, hot & hot today. It makes me craving for a bowl of cold coconut fresh in coconut water/juice. They are not just delicious but have so much benefits to our body too. Coconut water is more nutritious than whole milk, healthier than orange juice and better than processed baby milk!? :O Just take a look at this article, you will appreciate the many benefits of what this natural fruit has to offer.

FLOOD IN THE CITY
Like most afternoons, the rain started pouring down in Kota Kinabalu yesterday. Without realising the water level had gone up just before the sky turned dark. Most car owners have already moved their cars to a higher ground to avoid any possible occurrence of flood. Clet did the same too. On the way he took some photos of the flood scenes near Merdeka Supermarket and Lido where it used to be frequent flood hit area. Luckily the rain started to slow down around 7.30pm that our car can be moved back home again.
Water covering the road at Merdeka Supermarket. A car stopped there unable to drive through.
