1st day of school holiday

I am taking leave from work on the 1st to 3rd day of school holiday so I do not have to send them to holiday school, knowing that it would be a big challenge sending Pearl to holiday school without Crystal being there. I prefer to just being at home, it doesn't matter letting them driving me nuts than dragging myself to work.

Besides busy with the house chaos, I managed to get down to experience some baking over the weekend. Inspired by Shireen's blog on making home baked bread, I tried my hands on making my own bread and buns, it was pretty successful. I put red bean paste as filling for my buns which I bought meant for making moon cake but then moon cake project was a disaster..hahaha..

I also baked some durian butter cake as requested by my mum. It came out smelling and taste really nice, I feel like having the whole loaf of it but then it is too fattening to indulge myself, so i better give some away to my brothers, they do not mind tasting whatever I try to bake. They always give me honest comments.

The Camera is with Clet at Kuching that I used my handphone to snaps some photos of the buns I baked, unfortunately, my handphone went spoilt while I was trying to download a software onto my computer so that I can upload the photos. Now my handphone is totally not functioning probably due to virus attack buy the software I uploaded.

Stay at home Saturday

Many of you might have taken the opportunities to go holiday, a long distance drive to outstation or even hang out at the shopping malls with the children to mark the beginning of the long year end school holidays starting today till next year, 4th January.

But for me, I am longing to stay in the coziness of our little messy home with my 2 little princesses while Clet is outstation in Sarawak for the launching of eXfuze. Though our girls love going out so much they do like being at home at times. First thing in the morning, Pearl told me that she doesn't want to go to school just like to stay at home. Crystal has no objection.

Like usual they will find ideas in keeping themselves occupy, one of which was to find ice from the fridge to rub on the barbie mermaid's hair and body to discover the change of colours on them, so much of watching mermaid on Youtube that they wanted to bathe the barbie mermaid in water, I gave them a small basin and later Crystal complained it's too small for their barbie mermaids to swim, they have got 3 mermaids altogether, she needed the baby bath tub . They got themselves all wet, and finished the game off with bathe and shower with the barbie dolls .

Unable to post any photos here because I am having difficulties in getting my photos uploaded from my handphone. Clet has brought the camera along with him to outstation all the time that I find myself lacking in blogging without photos.

Clothes to pass on

Fearing that the clothes hanging railing designed by Clet would fall off one of this day, I decided to check through the heavy loaded line of clothes meant for our girls in our bedroom.

I always notice there are a number of clothes which has been out grown by Pearl each day I pick clothes for them.

Here are the clothes that I picked off the hanging railing. Most of them are passed down from Crystal to Pearl. I picked some beautiful dresses that would suite my little niece, Chloe. Some I donate through our church.

Our saturday

As a full time working mum, I always look forward to weekends. It's so relieve that I still can go back to sleep when I am awake at 6am during weekends, that I got to spend some time with my girls, not sit around but being around with them at home even though I am always busy with the never ending house chaos. Praying hard to become a WAHM with a helper so that I can spend quality time with my girls, being with them every single moment is a precious moments to me...though there are times they drive me nuts..:@

Our niece, Kathleen, came visit us today, and our girls are shouting with joy because we have been waiting to have her around. Kathleen brought along two VCDs. Their afternoon were filled with activities. They watched VCDs, surfing the web, colouring, blowing bubbles, sharing "junked" food (keropok & jellies), decorating cup cakes, went to church and had dinner together after the mass. Pearl was so exhausted that she dosed off right after dinner at the shop. Too excited to having Kathleen around that she did not take her afternoon nap.

removing ear wax

The doctor prescribed this ear wax remover drop for our girls when we visited her clinic more than a year ago. We used it once or twice to ease the excessive wax from Crystal ears. This is the SOLUWAX ear drops , its function is for softening the ear wax thereby it can be removed or drop out by itself easily.

And last week Crystal complained that her ears were very itchy and kept digging them with her fingers when she was trying to sleep at night. She requested for the ear drops. But we had to get a new bottle as the one we have had already expired on 01.08.09. Even though it had only expired for about 2 weeks, to be safe than sorry, I got Clet to buy a new bottle.

I have been applying the drops on Crystal's ear for the last 2 nights, Pearl saw it and wanted the drops for her ear as well. She too having plenty of wax in her ears. We have never cleared our girls ear wax since they were born cos too scare to hurt their ears with the little scoopy thingy knowing their always on the move characters so it would be safer to use ear drops.

Pearl thought it is fun and giggling there when I put the drop in her ear, she supposed to tilt her head for 4-5 minutes, she does not even bother, started with her playful act soon after I put the ear drops. hmmm... How do you clear your children's ear wax??

Playing Kite

It's me flying the kite! It was taken a month ago at the Tanjung Aru Beach.

We bought the kite after much nagging by our girls to ask the daddy to make a kite for them. To make the task easier, we bought one from the shop. We brought it to the beach one fine afternoon for the girls to experience the fun of flying the kite.

With the guidance of the daddy, they played the kite only for a few minutes, zoom..they went to play the sand, they have obviously lost interest with the kite in just a matter of minutes..."sigh"

Here I was taking turns to fly the kite with Clet. I am sure our girls will ask for a kite again in the future.

Isabella's 5th Birthday

A present for Isabella from her little aunties, Crystal and Pearl

Niece, Isabella's 5th birthday was on 28th January, celebrated at her home's club house. The weather was very bad, heavy down pour since noon time, our girls were very disappointed that they have to cancel their long waiting fun in the pool. As far as I can remember there's always raining away whenever there were celebrations at the club house. I just hope for a favourable weather this weekend as we plan to celebrate Crystal and Zac birthdays there, they share the same birth date.

The 1st Day of Chinese New Year

On the 1st day of Chinese New Year, we celebrated Joshua's 6th birthday at his grandparent's home.

There were plenty of fireworks during the night. The children enjoyed watching them but scared of the loud noise. Crystal and Pearl had to cover their ears most of the time.

New Pair of Shoes

It's the end of school term tomorrow. Students of Malaysia will be having a long school holiday till the beginning of January 2009. We were told by the teacher that Pearl will have performance on stage during the closing of school term ceremony tommorrow morning that requires her to wear white shoes and socks. For that Cletus bought her a pair of white shoes yesterday since she never had white ones, but they were to big for her little legs. At last he got to change another pair from the same merchant which I find they are very nice and cute on her.

Pearl and her new pair of white sport shoes. She was wearing them for the whole evening till she gone to sleep.
Side view. The shoes strings are a bit too long

She posed for me to take the rear view of her new shoes

Of course the front view. They are very little and cute.

Baby Ensond 12th days old

We celebrated Baby Ensond's 12th day birthday today at his parents' new home. He has since grown up quite a bit in just 12 days. He slept through the whole evening while we were there, no fuss at all though we made a lot of noise especially with my two girls and Anneliese chasing each other, shouting and laughing in and out of the room.
I quickly captured this when I saw him opened his eyes. He felt back to sleep again right away.

A kiss from grandfather

Dishes for the night. The drunken chicken and drunken sweet and sour pork leg are the two common confinement dishes prepared by my mum. We love them. I took some drunken sweet and sour pork leg home too.
Pearl with her uncle Albert, the father of Ensond
and Cystal got a hug too..

Our Saturday

The daddy promised to bring the girls go jalan-jalan on the weekend. We brought along Kathleen, our girls' favourite cousin sister, with us to City Mall this afternoon. The first thing I did when we arrived there was to make myself a pair of spectacle which has long been overdued. I am having a very high "power", I mean shortsighted, LOL. The one that I am wearing has over 5 years of age now and one of the pieces has already broken beyond repaired. I have been to several optical shops to enquire whether I can change the frame only without changing the glasses since the powers are still alright for me; of course at the same time I want to save on paying for the glasses again but hard luck, non of them can do that for me. Having a new pair of spectacles is so expensive that I have to put that on hold for a while. Since I can not live without a pair of glasses especially after an 8 hours of wearing the contact lens during day time, I make do with my broken pair of spectacle by putting the pieces together with some cellotape, I know I look weird with that but what to do, since I am only using it at home most of the time. Finally I got the chance to order a pair of new spectacles fully paid by Clet. Thank you. It would be ready for testing on this coming Wednesday. It costs RM248.00. I thought it would cost me RM500.00++. The glasses is RM80.00 (original price RM120.00) & the frame is RM168.00 (original price was RM225.00).

The old pair of broken spectacle

Since Clet has to attend a friend's mum 85th years old birthday dinner party tonite, we have had an early dinner at City Mall save me from cooking at home just for three of us. Pearl did not eat much of her ngau chap mee hoon soup which I shared with her, she asked for biscuits at around 10pm even after a bottle of milk. As she has been asking for Macaroni cheese after watching Barney show just now, I suggested to her that I will make her some macaroni but without the cheese which is very acceptable for her.

Plain macaroni cooked with a little bit of salt and added with some plain water to reduce the heat just after cooking; she can not wait to eat them.
Enjoying her plain macaroni. only a few piece left at the end. She must be really hungry.

She spotted some biscuit at the cupboard and wanted some after eating her macaroni. It was her initial request actually. She was fast asleep not long after her supper.

By the time Clet got back, the 2 girls have already asleep. He brought back two little boxes of birthday cakes for them, and a door gift (a fridge magnet) from the party.

Pearl is doing Fine

Pearl is feeling much better after a long afternoon sleep. She woke up with cheerful mood and greeting the daddy at the kitchen after coming out from the bedroom. Her fever has gone and coughs accasionally. GOD must have listened to our prayers, thank GOD for taking care of our little Pearl.

Pearl was having bread with cheese and Crystal was enjoying a spoonful of cheese with their eyes on the TV, where Barney was on. Snacking before dinner.
As playful and adventurous as her usual self, she discovered a bottle of glue in the cabinet and insisted me to open the cap up for her. She gave me a nice smile after getting what she wanted.
They were having late dinner at around 9pm.. Pearl had rice with sauces and Crystal wanted Bread and cheese with strawberry milk drink. Pearl wanted some strawberry milk drink too after that.

Not Well Again

My Baby Pearl is not feeling well again. She has not been well recently. She always down to flu, cough, fever, recovered a little and come back again. She is having a very bad cough these few days, last night was the worst; she vomitted after having her milk due to consistent bad coughs. She felt very uncomfortable at 5am this morning and we noticed that she is down to fever. We have been trying to feed her supplements to boost up her immune systems but she refuses them all the time, however, she is very willing to take the spirulina tablets and even asks for more, I always have to control her consumptions to only 2-3 tablets a day.
She complaint of tummy ache and vomitted again luckily we have Crystal's previous medicine for emergency use. At the moment, only Barney can keep her entertained and she sings along too when she feels a little ok.

Raya Visiting

One the first day of Hari Raya, we went to visit our friend, Juriah. Crystal was very excited to see a nice garden and a fish pond in the compound, couldn't wait to be let loose with other kids.

while Pearl was having her mee kosong as starter and followed by many pieces of cakes after that.
After having some mee, Crystal was back to play the swing with Pearl joining her this time. They appreciate having the outdoor compound to run around where we are unable to provide at home.

Cactus (仙人掌) can be found around the house
This pot of cactus looks pretty healthy
The cactus is hang at the patio. The shape is like octopus, pretty scary.
