Lunch...but in different locations

Like most siblings, we communicate and share daily happenings through family group whatsapp.  These was one of those many things we shared through whatsapp yesterday, our "Lunch", what we had for lunch at different locations at almost the same time.

Younger brother at Tawau, the West Coast of Sabah

Century egg dumpling

while I was having my humble lunch at the office desk, roti kosong with a cup of Nescafe Zero

My youngest brother at Guangxi, China yesterday, posted a photo of his lunch there.

He also shared some photos of Guangxi where we haven't been yet.

My sister is in the USA, the time there is midnight, supper time for her not lunch..haaaa...though it's over midnight, she responded with emoticons.  Whatsapp is the way we stay connected.

There goes my pot

I blogged  about  it  when I first used it which was new from the box (here).

I planned to boil a pot of herbal soup last weekend using this little cute pot.  It was just after the water is boiled in the pot, I heard and saw water flowing out from my stove and wet the floor, then I realized the bottom of the pot has cracked beyond repair.
I couldn't carry the pot away from the stove as it was still burning hot.  The pot of soup thus drained dry leaving the herbs.

I took the box & read again.  It clearly said can be directly cook from gas stove & durable.  I was very disappointed with it, off the pin it went.

To satisfy my crave

To satisfy my craving for Mee Laksa during my detox period last week, I had promised myself to have it during my lunch time in the office right after the detox is over, which is not advisable actually, because I am loading in not so healthy food, :D

We have a simply cooking facility in the office which allows us to prepare light meal or heat up our food for lunch.  So my lunch for yesterday was Mee Laksa with lots of green vegetable to compensate the not so healthy side of it.

Now my crave has been satisfied.

Goodies from the Phillippines

It is great to have thoughtful colleagues in the work place.  Once a while they cheer us up a little by bringing  back goodies whenever they travel.  When come to think of it, it is not all that bad for not being able to travel to places of interests as I wish to because I still got some goodies.

My colleague, Marlisa, just came back for a week of holiday in the Phllippines last week.  She shared with us some cakes and biscuits.  Besides that she bought each of us a gift.  And I have got a bracelet from her.
a green and clear beads bracelet, a combination of wealth and health, that's what I need.
cakes and biscuits, gonna share these with my loved ones at home
my girls would like this cheese cake

Knorr product brought all the way from the Phillippines??   But at 2nd glance, I noticed that this is different from what I normally see in the supermarket.  It's Pork Broth Cubes.  Haven't seen it being sold here.

Papaya Soup

While shopping for food and groceries at the supermarket on last Saturday, I saw papayas at the fruits section, all of them are still raw; I said to myself, why not try papaya soup today so I bought two raw papayas, one for soup and one for dessert when it's ripened.  Here's my papaya soup with pork and red dates.  The last time I had papaya soup was during my confinement after giving birth to Pearl, to induce more breast milk, however, this formular did not work on me.  Many people have been telling me that papaya soup is also good for health that would be good for the kids too.
I marinated the remaining papaya using apple cider vinegar, salt and sugar.  Very appetising and it is ideal for cooking of sweet and sour dishes or eat on its own.  I feel like having some before my dinner though.

On Chinese Translation Task

It was a busy and brain draining working week for me despite having had a Monday public holiday. I was given a task to translate two articles from English to simplified Chinese on Thursday and my boss needed them on Saturday morning. Gosh..the articles were about the benefits and the types of Coenzyme Q10(CoQ10) available in the market place today. I spent the whole two days translating and doing the corrections after my boss had proofed read them. Great that I managed to do it with the help of online translation website and NJStar Chinese WP, they have indeed make translation works so much easier. The only set back I faced was that I am not so familiar with the Han Yi Ping Ying thingy as I had never learnt that during my school time, furthermore I have also forgotten how to write many of the Chinese wordings since I seldom use them nowadays.
I was unable to finish all the corrections that I needed to do during the office hours that I have to continue at home, after my dinner, spending another 2 hours or so trying to search for the right words using Han Yi Ping Ying at NJStar, finally I got everything done and emailed to my boss at 10.40pm. Tasks accomplished but exhausting; I got the opportunity to refresh my mind on the benefits of Co Q10 by doing this tasks, I took Co Q10 supplements months ago but stopped taking it after my supplies have exhausted, and knowing what the benefits that this supplement can do to our bodies, I should make an effort to resume having it as part of my supplements.

The New KKIA

Have you been to the new KKIA? Some of you might have dropped by just to have a glance at our newly built airport, I myself have not been there yet but I do have some photos to share with you all taken by Clet. It looks pretty impressive. It has been long overdue for Kota Kinabalu or rather Sabah to have an improved airport considering the increasing number of tourists coming to Sabah each year. Let's have a short tour of our new airport. :D

DAYTIPPER

While browsing through some comments on money making sites, I discovered a site called Daytipper, out of curiosity I went to have a look at the its website and interestingly it pays its member USD1.00 for every tip submitted and approved by them.

So If you have a tip that is insightful, helpful, and original, why not submit it to Daytipper and get paid. You write the content, let Daytipper helps you to share it with the world. But I must say, they are looking for high standard and original tips to be published in their site. I submitted one yesterday and was rejected right through :( I thought I have got a good tip that I would like to share, apparently the content is not good enough for them. Well, this is only my first attempt. Hubby had just given me one of his tip, will try to submit, see what happen :)
Besides sharing your valuable tips, you will find a lot of good tips from the Daytipper's members as well (those approved by them). Let's check them out !!
