Back to school again

Been away from blogging for the past weeks. Guess what I have been occupying with? I am back to school again at this time nearing to retirement age..

After resigning from my day job for just into the 4th month, I enrolled myself to a Diploma In Real Estate Agent course which I have to attend classes thru online, I am unable to attend physical classes as I am not residing in Selangor where the institute is situated. I have also registered to sit for the 6 papers exams in September this year. Is a daring endeavour but I will try my best to pass the exams and go to the next level. So for the past weeks, I have been busy attending to the pre-recorded lectures and find time to study the notes that the institutes provided to me and do a lot of catching up because I would like to fast track my course duration.

Will find time to blog whenever I can.  

Gathering with school mates

After graduated from secondary school I hardly meet up with my school mates..We had a great 30th years anniversary gathering on the 3rd day of Chinese New Year 2016 in May Flower Restaurant, the owner is also one of the alumni..School mates from various parts of the world came back for the gathering, it was a very successful and meaningful event...we also managed to raise up to RM80K of cash and building materials sponsorship for our beloved school from among our classmates.

That aside, recently a classmate came back from Canada with her lovely children, her daughter is a talented ice skater in Canada.  We had another small class gathering in school mate's home, we talked about yesteryears and have so much laughter. Children educations and upbringing, our health problems have become the famous topics among us which we had never touched on while we were in school. 

Cheapest Asam Laksa Mee

The cheapest, fastest and delicious Asam Laksa mee.  

I believe this is the cheapest bowl of Asam Laksa mee that we could get nowadays.  My choice is Maggi Asam Laksa whenever I am craving for it.  

My better half knows very well of my taste, he added an egg, green vegetable and lemon grass for added nutrition and fragrance to my bowl of asam laksa mee.  Delicious, for nutrition wise, it is debatable and individual choice.

My Birthday

This is a late post...but I still want to record down my birthday here as an annual affair and many more birthdays to come.

This year I remembered to make some red eggs on my birthday.  I am very thankful to have received many birthday wishes and messages in my FB and whatsapps.  

 

I ordered a small sponge cheese cake, we love cheese cake, we almost finished the whole cake in one setting.

 It has been a while we have not dined in Japanese restaurant.  I chose to have Japanese food on my birthday.   

 

Besides having Duck fried rice & Ramen, my kids like to pick their favourite sushi from the conveyor belt.

Munchy's Lexus Crackers Biscuits

My colleague shared with me a packet of the Munchy's Lexus Cheese Cream crackers biscuits for me to munch after lunch.  It is really nice, I bought a big packet of it during my visit to the hypermarket a few days later.

I also bought the vegetable flavour immediately on my next visit to the hypermarket

I told my better half that I really like these crackers biscuits, he told me that there is a Chocolate one in the cabinet no one is eating it...I am not fond of chocolate and my girls are very selective on chocolate stuff too.. 

I like the colour of the packaging, it is my favourite purple.

 

There are 12 individually wrapped small packets in each big pack. 

 

Cheese cream is sandwiched in between 2 pieces of crackers, simply delicious

I had a packet of each cheese cream and vegetable crackers biscuits with a cup of hot coffee to complete my after lunch munching... 

 

done..!! with satisfying tummy..but seriously I have to reduce my after lunch munching bad habit..

My dream car BMW X6

Knowing BMW X6 is my dream car, my better half bought one back for me without my knowledge.  It is a nice luxury maroon colour one.  It is an expensive car that I really need to take care of it.  A slight scratch will make my heartache. :D

take a closer look, just take some effort to dust it a bit, it will be spotlessly clean.

I have own this car for more than 1 year now but have not driven it because it is only a collector's car :(

How I wish to own a real BMW X6.  My better half bought it for me so that I could visualise having a real one and apply the Law of Attraction to make my dream comes true.  Hope it works !!!!

Munching After Meals 饭后甜品

Each time after meals, I have the urge of having a cup of hot drinks and something to munch.  I prefer hot coffee more than anything else, so I have to get ready packets of coffee mix and some biscuits in my drawer.  

 After a cup of coffee and something to munch, my meals is complete and satisfied, be it in the office or at home, this is one of my habits, pretty much like a dessert after meal for me.

My ''munchies" after meals can be like these :

The Last Supper

I was very into cross stitch during my single years.  I have shelved all my unfinished cross stitch stuffs when I got pregnant due to certain pantang larang / taboo from grandmothers' believes.  

After more than 10 years now, upon numerous requests from my eldest daughter to teach her how to stitch, I took out my cross stitch stuff from the cabinet and found this unfinished piece of "Last Supper".  Honestly I do not know when I can complete this master piece;  my eye sight has gone poor and I can't have the spare time I wish to have like before.

Since my girl has have the same interest like me, I hope she will have the passion in cross stitch to finish this piece of sewing work for me, if not I will have to start stitching during my retirement age...:D     

Singer Serging Machine

After having a new Singer sewing machine in a couple of weeks, I decided to get myself a new Singer serging machine.  Why Singer brand? you may ask...it is because I have known this brand of sewing machine since I was still a little girl..My mum used to sew uniforms for kindergarten to supplement our household income, I had helped (for the fun of it) her to unfold the sawed up strings using a chopstick..>.<.  She still keeps her very old model of Singer manual sewing machine till now. 

Back to my new serging machine...with a serging machine, the sewed clothing will have a more professional look, this is the main purpose for me to buy this machine.  

I was extremely unhappy with the piece of skirt that I sewed with all the edges of clothes running off.  I have tried to use the zig zag mode to sew up the edges/seams but it looks awful.  I want my sewing project works look like store bought, haaaaa..

This is the 3 thread serging machine which I bought.  I have a bit of a struggle to make adjustments on the densities on the threads.  I am still trying to do some trials and errors whenever I use it.  There is a VCD that's come with the purchase unfortunately it is broken, I am yet to go back to the outlet to ask for a change. 

Singer offers instalment scheme for their products..I have opted this option for this purchase.

The most important meal of the day

On the way sending my girls to school this morning, my stomach started rumbling.  My mind started to search for a place to get my breakfast, and still the most convenient place is a little shop under the staircase in the complex where my office is, I could also get a parking space easily at the early hour.

I grabbed a packet of fried meehoon and a box of nasi lemak. Usually I would eat one and leave one for my lunch.  But not today, I finished both during breakfast. so I started my day with heavy breakfast today and soon I am feeling sleepy on my work desk, yet another sleepy day at work.

I am wondering why am I so hungry these few days?  Could it be due to the additional vitamins I started to consume recently?

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, I really do not mind having heavy breakfast, preferably a healthier ones, and a lighter lunch.  

School Holiday with my girls

I took a day leave from work last week while Clet attending a full day course.  I got to spend the whole day with my girls.  As a FTWM, it is not always have a day off like this with my girls.  

Crystal was in recovering stage from her stomach upset problem thought I would want to give her some nourishing food which I do not get to prepare for her and Pearl during working days.  I also managed to do get something done which has been long overdue, read on and you will know what I meant. "."

Sweet potatoes desert with sago.  Purple sweet potato is Pearl's favourite.  For Crystal to cool her body as she has got fever days earlier.

For breakfast, I cooked meehoon herbal soup with lean pork and meat ball.  The bigger bowl with loads of vegetable is mine, our girls rejected all the green vegetable I gave them though with just a small piece.  Hard to get them to eat vegetable "sigh".  

My eating capacity is big.  This egg sandwiches was part of my breakfast too.*.*

with a cup of vanilla coffee.  I am cutting down my coffee intake recently, replacing it with Horlicks in the office, but still can not resist to have coffee in between the days.

This was the Chinese New Year decoration for our house put up by Clet.  It was still there though Chinese New Year has long past.  Visitors came to our house would be questioning (inside them of course) whether we are going to keep this decoration till next year..??

Of course not la...I had made a point to pack them up nicely in a mandarin orange box that day so that we can use this decoration again next year.

Later part of the afternoon, we spent our time at the shop.  Our girls had their kon lou mein for lunch while enjoying an episode of princess cartoon.   

I also managed to get Pearl to become my little model for the new party and flower girl bride's maid dress.  She is wearing Size 8. Sizes available are Size 4, 6, 8 and 10.  Please check out the New Arrivals at my Kids Fashion Dot Com Facebook Page.

I didn't realise and Crystal also forgot that day was a Tuesday.  She missed her piano class.  It has always been her daddy sending her to piano class but it has totally slipped his mind during school holiday. When he read the SMS reminder from the piano teacher in the seminar, it has already way past the piano lesson time.  Apart from that, it was a great day spending time with my 2 little precious.

Skin Care, AnneMarie Borlind Products

My Day Cream pot is empty.  Trying to save by using as little as I can for the last few days, till I can dig no more today. "_"

I am not very particular in choosing my skin care products so long it is not questionably cheap (the quality of very cheap stuff are questionable) and not overly high priced (those that I can't afford).  

For the last 2 -3 years, I have been using some of the Annemarie Borlind's products.  I find their products are of good quality as it claimed.  Annemarie Borlind's products are from Germany,   The company that I work for is the sole distributor of their products,  they are being sold in Malaysia and Singapore.

I have tried their Skin Whitening Fluid, Ceramide Vital Fluid, LL Regeneration Eye Wrinkle Cream, and LL Regeneration Day Cream.  Today, while replenishing my day cream, I am also adding its LL Regeneration Night Cream into my skin care regime.  

I have been using this LL Regeneration Eye Wrinkle Cream for 2 -3 year now, I like its non greasy and soft feeling each time I apply it.  I guess it helps me to control the appearance of the fine lines around my eyes.    

The new pots of LL Regeneration Day Cream (RM213.00) and Night Cream that I bought today.  

A short introduction of these products as it says on the packaging:

Light Cheddar Cheesecake

Inspired by Sonia of Nasi Lemak Lover, my hands have turned itchy and wanted to try on baking some Light Cheddar Cheesecake.  I finally did the baking on last Sunday night after about 2 years break from baking. I had a bit of a hard time to get my baking utensils organised because I had forgotten where I put them. Blamed it to a not so organised person, that's me "_".

I only managed to take some photos of the cheddar cheese creaming process, after that I was too busy getting the baking done before midnight as the next day was a schooling day.  Here's how it goes :

 Break 6 slices of cheddar cheese and mix together with the butter, double boiling to dissolve them (I used light cheddar cheese slices)

 the cake sit in the oven for 5 minutes with the oven door ajar

My Light Cheddar Cheese Cake look like this, not as fluffy and spongy as it's supposed to be, probably because I took too long on the egg yolk mixing process.  After adding all the cake flour, I realised that my egg yolk mixture is too thick hence I have to add more milk to it.

The whole piece of cake were polished off by 4 of us pretty instantly on the next day.  My girls could not wait to try this cake, they brought slices of them to school as snacks during recess.  We simply love this cake and I will definitely make it again.

I followed exactly the recipe HERE from Nasi Lemak Lover, except putting in additional milk to the egg yolks batter).  Try baking this cake, I am sure you are going to love it!!

Crazy over Korean Dramas

Maaduu.com is a site with free Korea Dramas, one can watch series after series of Korean Dramas till they drop.  I was hooked on this site for the last couple of months, I have becoming more like an night owl then ever.  I soon realised that though I am a Korean Drama fan it is not healthy to hook on it too much...I am now taking a break from Maaduu.com to concentrate on my other work assignments at home.

Wow..altogether 10 dramas..You may asked which one do I recommend to the viewers, well...I like them all, when I watch a drama..my emotion went together with it,.tearful eyes are unavoidable.  If I were to give my comments, I find DID WE REALLY LOVE is a bit lengthy, could have made it shorter & sweet ending.  Not so happy to see the way it goes for BITTER SWEET LIFE, after knowing her husband has betrayed her, she found love with a younger man , seeks for a divorce and chooses to let go of her kids.  She still sticks by her lover though later she found out he is a murderer.. Other than that, the rest of the dramas are just wonderful and entertaining.
