Sleeping with Books

Couldn't decide what's the title for this post. Since I am talking about the books just by my bed side, they are as good as sleeping with me, so I just give this post title as Sleeping with Books. I like to read. One could judge by the thick glasses I am wearing.  Books are the knowledge power house for all of us. whether we finish reading the whole book, part of the book or just few pages of it, we will be able to learn something out of it.

These are the books the I am sleeping with.  About half are cook books.  I have confessed before that I love to eat but not a good cook, thus need more cook books to inspire me to be more creative in my cooking.  Other than cook books, I also like to read motivational and business related books.  Will show you my family's collection of books next time.

I realised that the Information technology (IT) advancement is too fast that my knowledge on this area is far lacking behind, I should start reading publications on IT, if not I will be just like those old gadgets becoming "obsolete" soon.   

Sales at Popular Book Store

There are a selection of books on sale at Popular Book Store now.  At RM10.00 per book is a very good bargain.  After ran through the books displayed on Sales, they are mostly novels,  Luckily I am not a novel reader, I will definitely buy half a dozen of them if I love to read novels and all my house works will come to a halt for me to finish reading them.

I always want to read the biography of notable and successful people.  There are a handful of these books on the shelves but they are not on discount sales.  

It is interesting to know the life journey of these world's successful notable people, their ups and downs in life hopefully will somehow give us some inspirations to excel in our own endeavors.  

I did not buy any books from this visit.  My better half has chosen these 2 books : "101 Econimics" @ 25% off, Discounted price is RM27.67 and "Buy High Sell Higher" for RM10.00 for he would like to know more about Forex and he wants me to read more about stock market.  

I wonder how many small traders can make money from Forex and stock market??  Big Question Marks here --> ????

What to cook for dad's birthday

We are celebrating my dad's birthday tomorrow.  It's a pot luck dinner, means each of us have to bring along one or more dishes depending on individual capacity.  I will buy him a birthday cake of my choice because too many opinions will only make things difficult.   But I still need to bring a dish or two for dinner!  What to cook?  It's time to check on some of my cook books for some ideas..

Feng Shui & Me

Half a year has gone!!

It took me half a year to open this little booklet of Feng Shui for Monkey 2013 which I bought at the beginning of the year, thought I would learn and find out ways to enhance what's good and what are the remedies can be done to block the no good stuff on the Monkeys this year.  I believe the Feng Shui (things around us) does affect our daily lives to a certain degree but I have not put much afford in practicing Feng Shui in our home. 

I read a few pages of this booklet last night for my reading pleasure.  It would be a long way if one were to to practice Feng Shui by the book.  

Though it did not mention any big fortune for the monkey this year but I will continue to buy jackpot hopefully I will hit the million Ringgits jackpot soon. ^.^ 

Book on Blogging by Million, Earn by Millions

This is a new book I bought from Popular Book store last weekend, flipping through the pages at the book store, I found several topics in this book are very useful and informative for bloggers and to whom intend to start business on line.

This book provides its readers easy to understand guides and links to many useful websites on how to go about becoming internet entrepreneur through e-commerce and blogging. The information are very helpful to people whom do not know much about internet marketing like me :D...It is also a good book for me to refer to should I decide to start an online business in the future. read more about this book here .
