Mystery of a Lonely Bear

My better half spotted a plush toy bear being left by the road side on the way home after fetching our girls from school a few weeks ago.  We are still puzzling with who and why.  Who left the bear there ? and why it's being left there ? Is it meant for adoption ? or is there something fishy behind it ?

It is a nice and sizeable plush toy bear sitting very lonely by the road side.  No notes can be sighted.  

It was placed at the junction, can be easily spotted by the passerby. 

Not sure what happened after that.  Remains a mystery to us.  Will you pick up the toy bear in a situation like this ?? 

Hobby Shop

Children love toys, once they enter into a toy shop it is hard for parents to get them out.  They will spend their sweet time exploring the new toys aisle by aisle.  A sleepy child will become energetic again as soon as they step into the toy shop.  More often than not, they will want to buy some toys.

McDonald's Collectible Toys : Strawberry Shortcake - Orange Blossom

To avoid disappointment, we went to purchase the last release of the Strawberry Shortcake's friend, the Orange Blossom, on last Saturday.  This time we just bought the toy figurine without having the Happy Meal.  That's made the collection with only Strawberry Shortcake's Friends without the Strawberry Shortcake herself.*sigh*.  

Clet has asked for his friend's help, whose wife is working with McDonald, to get hold of the Strawberry Shortcake figurine but unfortunately there is no stock left.

These figurines are so adorable, of course it would be nicer if we have the complete set of them as collection. At the moment they are placed on our girls' bed head frame like this.

We shall watch out for the next McDonald's Happy Meal collections to add on to our girls' collections.

Blowing the balloons

I was slipping into my childhood years for a while when I saw these little tubes of balloon gum. It was one of our favourite games back to the old days, we used to blow lots of balloons with it into different sizes and stick them together.

My girls has been wanting to buy some after seeing children playing them in the school. We bought them at one of the toys shop at Megalong shopping mall at RM1.00 for 5 little tubes.

This was the first time our girls trying to blow a balloon out of these gum. I had to show them how it works and show them how to seal the balloon back if there is a hole. After a few blows, Pearl handed it over to me, she was disgusted with the smell of the gum. Crystal is OK with it.

Pearl prefers to wait for her che che to blow the balloons for her and play together.

TUESAY TOOT # 3 - PASSING ON TOYS

It has been weeks that I was thinking of choosing some of the unwanted toys to be given to the church for distribution to the needy or passing them on to my brothers who have younger toddlersor going to have baby. We have been keeping those toys thinking that the girls might want to play them again some times. Now we realised that our girls had grown up and they are no longer interested in toys like baby rattles, incomplete pieces of activity toys that sort of stuff. Toot! Toot! I finally selected some of them. It does ease off some storage spaces.
