Italian coffee 义式咖啡

I was curious to find out how this Italian coffee taste like when I saw it at the local Pick & Pay store.  It says Italian Coffee with Classic Italian flavor that you'd fall in love with..I have already felt in love with the local kopi kahwin (thick black coffee with condensed milk & evaporated milk), something has to be better to make me fall in love for the 2nd time..haaaa...

 

when comes to Italian coffee, my expectation goes to cappuccino and expresso, but to my opinion, this packet of coffee is too mild for a coffee drinker..  

 

But I like the packaging and it is convenient to bring along anywhere you go to enjoy a light coffee at anytime.

Throw up after drinking Stale Milk

Our local government has been giving out free milk to the pupils since I was in Primary School, I do not know whether other States in Malaysia doing the same or not.  We appreciate the good gesture from the government in providing nutritious milk to the students over the years.  

However, milk is a very perishable item, it turns bad or stale easily.  It will do more harm than good if the cartons of milk turn stale due to improper handling during storage and logistic.  

Our girls like to keep these free milk in the fridge and consume them while cool.  There were two occasions that Crystal have had diarrhea for no reasons because we were having the same food, why only her having stomach upset??  After chit chatting with parents at school, I gathered that the free milk from school was the culprit.  I have since stopped my girls from taking them altogether since last year.

It was reported in the News today that 100 pupils throw up after consuming the free milk from school, it was no surprise to me as my girl has suffered from it twice before.   

The pupils are suffering from stomach pain and vomiting, all this can be avoided only if the parties handling these milk are sensible enough to make sure they are kept fresh as required.  I have seen a normal lorry truck delivering milk to the school, these milk will then placed at the corridor in the school for many days before they are distributed to the pupils.  The Health Ministry should consider having these milk be transported by a refrigerated truck and distributed to the pupils as soon as the cartons milk arrive to the school.

Pearl was asking for our permission to drink this packet of milk last night which she brought back from school and kept cool in fridge,  we were glad we stopped her from drinking it, or else she could be suffering from stomach upset too.  I showed to my girls the news so that they are aware of it.

The New Proton Preve

The much anticipated Proton Preve was launched last night.  If you have not seen the newly launched Proton Preve, here are some photos, they look really really nice to me, very elegant yet sporty.  The prices ranging from RM60K - RM73K depending on the model.  At first sight I thought it would priced at near RM90K.  

After sharing my views with my colleague, she would prefer to buy a Toyota Vios which is a foreign brand with a price similar to Proton Preve, simply because the earlier is a Toyota, not Malaysia made.  After so many years of our government's efforts to instill and promote Buy Local Products, it doesn't not seem to change our people's having the mindset of foreign products are much more superior than Malaysia made.  Though she prefers foreign brand, but she is driving Malaysian made cars..hahaha..simply because local made are more affordable.

My 500th blog post - KFC & Pizza Hut discount Voucher

After about 4 years of blogging, this blog of mine has finally reached its 500th blog post today. In this blog post I am going to blog about the KFC discount vouchers we have been receiving for the past weeks.

We can claim for a KFC discount vouchers for every RM20.00 petrol refill at the Shell station, the promotion period is from 1st May - 15th June 2011, the validity date for these vouchers is by 31st July 2011, and it is only valid for KFC outlets in Kota Kinabalu & Labuan (exclude KFC outlets at the Kota Kinabalu International Airports (KKIA), both terminals. I believe many of us who have been patronising Shell stations here are receiving many copies of these vouchers.

For every RM20.00 refill of petrol, we are are given a RM2.70 discount voucher on KFC Meal 1 (2 pcs Chicken, 1 Regular soft drink, 1 regular whipped potato) and a discount voucher of RM4.70 for a Meal 1 at Pizza Hut which consists of 1 personal Pan Pizza and 1 Tropicana Twister Orange.

For every RM40.00 spent on petrol, the discount vouchers are a saving of RM6.40 on KFC Meal 2, consists of 5 pcs chicken, 1 regular whipped potato, 1 regular potato wedges and 3 buns as well as a saving of RM6.90 on Pizza Hut Meal 2 for 1 Regular Pan Pizza and 2 Tropicana Twister Orange.

These discount vouchers are pretty attractive, KFC and Pizza Hut are on the top lists of my family favourite fast food restuarants. I have collected 7 sets of these discounts vouchers and I don't think we can utilise all of them by 31st July 2011. The expiry date is too soon and too near, they should have given us more time to utilise these vouchers, I suppose they expect us to consume KFC and Pizza Hut's meals every other day, definitely it is not going to happen for the sake of our health and the health of our pockets. :D *.*
