Roses say a thousand words

Who don't like flowers? Receiving flowers would put a smile on one's face thus brighten up her days.

I love flowers very much that I attempted to becoming a florist at one point. I attended basic flower arrangement classes many years back and run a home base florist for a short while. To promote my business, I designed my own leaflet with a catchy phrase "Roses say a thousand words" as roses are commonly used to express the feelings and emotions in us.

The colours of the roses represent different meanings. Before you order a bouquet of roses to be delivered to someone, it would be wise to check on the meaning of the various colours of roses or consult your florists, they would able to recommend the ones that best suit your feelings.

Based on my experience the most desired colour is Red rose as it signifies love and passion. Pink roses signifies appreciation and gratitude; yellow roses used to represent jealousy but now signify friendship, joy, congratulations. Sending lavender roses to convey a message of "love at first sight" to someone special whereas white roses signifies purity and spiritual love.

Besides having to know the meaning of the respective colour of roses, the number of rose that you send is also significant. One stalk of rose represents love at first sight and you are the only one; most of us know what's the meaning of three stalks roses mean, that is I Love You; twelve stalks of roses mean Be My Steady.

You could easily convey your message to someone special by placing orders on line, there are a number of on line florists would be able to deliver your flowers within a day.

CRYSTAL'S FLOWER ARRANGEMENT

Don't you think girls just love flowers? Crystal is being very adventurous nowadays by digging and searching for things that I have been keeping away in the drawers, boxes or containers. And that day she found these "treasures" in my flowers containers and start playing around with them after obtaining my permission. Those are the loose artificial flowers that I have been keeping from my previous flower arrangements hoping that I could make use of them later. She was having a great time and looked pretty determine in getting the arrangement done :D This is her second attempts in arranging flowers, her first attempt was a fresh flower arrangement which was not bad too..
look how serious she is..!!

Progressing well..It's done...An arrangement by little Crystal now being display on the coffee table. :)

CRYSTAL SHOWING HER TALENT :)

Crystal's first flower arrangement, not bad at all :D

On Thursday, we sent Pearl to her baby sitter anticipating that we are going to have a busy day arranging and delivering 3 orders of condolence flower arrangements ordered by a friend to be sent on 3pm the day itself. Crystal felt so bored and restless being alone at home that she was all over my messy work place for a while picking up some flowers from the table and on the floor, little that I knew what she was up to (so long as she doesn't disturb me or play with the cutter). Not long after that she was proudly showing her flower arrangement and trying to find ribbons to decorate it. Finally she found the princesses' cellotape that I had been keeping in my tool's box. This is her first piece of flower arrangement using a plastic tissue box as pot, and I must say I am amazed with her talent :)

CHINESE NEW YEAR FLOWER ARRANGEMENT

Chinese New Year is just around the corner. Most Chinese are busy preparing for the brand new year. It would be a good idea to have a lively piece of flower arrangement to enchance and welcome the good chi into the home for the coming year.

I made this piece of Chinese New Year flower arrangement for my sister in law, Doris, to be placed at her parents' home. She provided me with the flower stand and three branches of the "Taw Hua" from previous year and I added on the rest. The height of the arrangement is about 5 ft tall. Hope her parents would like it.
