Pudding and agar-agar Mould

I finally used this jelly, pudding / agar-agar mould last week after keeping it since last year.  I bought this mould because I was attracted to some nice pudding and agar-agar photos posted in the instagram.
My pudding + agar-agar came out good.  The top layer is wobbly pudding with more solid agar-agar as base.

This is the pudding premix I used, the texture is good.

I used Nazri brand for the yellow agar-agar base.   I reduced the sugar to more than half.  Since the pudding is sugar added premix, I do not want my dessert to be too sweet.
It's a great help with the jelly mould, this would be one of the desserts I would do for the coming families gatherings, presentable and nice dessert.

Sweet Potatoes Fritters

I usually make sweet potatoes bubur cha cha, a couple of weeks ago, I tried to make them into fritters so that my girls get to eat the sweet potatoes rather than only the soup.  I am glad that my girls like them though the appearance of the fritters do not look yummy, too plain for food presentation, haaa..

We can just take a piece or two for snacking during the afternoon before dinner time.  Sweet potatoes is a healthier choice than many other processed food for the children.

I recorded down the preparation methods here for reference and for future improvement :

Teacher Appreciation Party 谢师宴 2015

As a gesture of appreciation to their teachers for their guidance and teaching for the whole 6 long years, the primary 6 students hold a party for their teachers in school before the school term came to an end, the party was celebrated with over flowing of food and performances from each class.

Each student brought along one type of food for the potluck.  My girl chose to bring jelly or pudding. We supposed to make the jellies for her to bring to school, however, she requested that the texture of the jellies must be similar to the store bought ones that she likes, I have no confidence in meeting her request..so we opted for the store bought ones to avoid disappointment.

This was what happened the night before the party.  Sisters joined hands opening up the jelly puddings and arranged nicely into the food containers.

The texture of these jelly pudding is very nice, soft and bouncy, not too sweet, 4 assorted colours and flavours.  Very presentable for parties.  Best serve chilled.
We couldn't resist to pop a few into our mouths, luckily we bought extra or else it wouldn't be enough to bring to school..:DDD

KFC Premium Dessert Tiramisu Cake

While my kids were having the usual KFC chicken and rice meal set, I tried something new in their menu which has been catching my eyes every time we dine at KFC restaurant.

I have been wanting to try the KFC Tiramisu premium dessert since it was introduced in their menu.  The outer box packaging looks like this.
chilled and tightly sealed in a cup
after the plastic seal was taken off
the taste is nice but a bit try
can't expect the texture to be as moist and as fresh as those home made and bakery sold Tiramisu, at least the taste did not let me down.  A cup of hot coffee would be well complemented with it.  If your feel like having a Tiramisu cake on the go, this could be the choice.

Sweet Potatoes Soup / Dessert

My purple sweet potatoes have sprouted after a week or so after I bought them from the market.  Are the sprouted sweet potatoes poisonous?  We have tried, they are not poisonous.

Nice and healthy shoots.  I believe it will grow into healthy plants if I were to plant them.
But I bought these load of sweet potatoes for dessert. Thus, the shoots are removed and sweet potatoes as sliced into small chunks and into the pot.

Here is my purple sweet potatoes dessert / soup after boiling for about an hour, add brown sugar to taste.  It has cooling effect (relieve body heatiness according to Chinese). It is our favourite weekend dessert.

Sweet heart ice cream

2 scoops of vanilla, chocolate and strawberry flavour ice cream with bee pollen granules, tiny little round and heart shape sprinkles and some flax seed oil.

This is the little heart shape gift container from our cousin 's wedding that can be converted into a ice cream serving cup which was mentioned in my previous post. This little serving cup is only good enough for little kids. Crystal asked for 2 servings as it was too little ice cream for her.
