Christmas and Year end party 2015 in the office

One of our colleagues initiated a get together party for Christmas and Year End Party with potluck and gifts exchange on 30th December 2015.  This was the first such party in the office since I joined 7 years ago.  Of course, the size of the staff has also grown over the years to have a better numbers to hold the party (without the bosses).

Santa's bag

My better half requested a Santa's bag few hours before we were to load and carry all the Christmas presents to the family Christmas celebration on 26th December.  A bit of a struggle here and there, and the machine stuck many times during the sewing process.  Rushing after the time is stressful.

It was my better half's idea to have the Santa's bag so he has to help to design and cut out the green Christmas tree patterns.  Luckily we have the essential colours of red, green and white clothes available.

The sewing process is not tough but I prefer to have more time for me to do a better job

Carolling at home 2015

We invited the Children's Liturgy carolling group to our home on 18th December.  Our girls are part of them.  It was heavy downpour prior to their arrival, it's a blessing from above.

besides Christmas carols, there are role play on Mother Mary, Joseph, the Angels 

My girls used to played the role of Mother Mary and the Angel in the previous years.  They have now grown up, letting the younger ones take up the roles, the costumes no longer fit them :D

Our Christmas Tree 2015

Christmas is just a couple of days away.  We have put up our Christmas Trees just before the carolers came to visit our home on 18th December (Carolling at home).  We are having 3 Christmas Trees this year, all the trees and ornaments are from previous years.

Cempedak 尖不辣, the ugly cousin of jackfruit

We bought 2 small size Cempedak fruit for RM5.00 from a friend.  This fruit smell really nice too.  To avoid the "latex" sticking around when opening it, we use some cooking oil to rub around the knife and the hands before cutting open the whole fruit.

A full container from 2 cempedak fruits.  We just eat them as it is, I am too lazy to cook them with batter like most people do.  I prefer jackfruit more than Cempedak, because I find chewing cempedak is a tiring matter for me..*strange but true*

Carrot Cheese Cake

Everyone is on Raya holiday mood.  No morning rush to school as schools are on holiday too.  Expecting the road traffic leading to my office is less congested and easier to find parking, I took my time to have breakfast at home this morning.

The carrot cheese cake baked by SIL for Clet's birthday is simply yummy, I had a slice of that with a mug of teh C.
